Musicians, DJs, Clubbers, Concert goers really do not want just to use any earplug, they demand the best and that’s where we at ProGuard come in. We have engineered the NEW ProGuard Music to cater for their listening needs. Each earplug is tailored to the individual client, it will fit like a glove into every nook and cranny of your complex ear anatomy. The custom-fit earplug will fit deep into the ear canal and sit comfortably there for long periods of time without it becoming uncomfortable or feeling obtrusive, manufactured from clear tactile soft medical grade silicon they will require very little maintenance over their lifetime just the occasional wash in warm soapy water and a quick dry before inserting them into the ear is all that is required.
Each NEW ProGuard Music earplug comes fitted with it's own replaceable 17dB (Mid) acoustic filter as standard (it is possible to choose a 24dB filter instead when you send back your impressions), extra filters are available at extra charge. The filter is the clever and new part, a completely new design and constructed using intricate membrane technology. The filter is engineered to give you the best acoustic response available, every membrane filter is finely tuned and tested to allow a certain amount of sound to pass through un-cluttered. Enabling you to hear music as it should be played only at a lower level, with its original sound clarity intact. All ProGuard filters are individually tested and meet the strict criteria of EN352-2, they are easily user interchangeable.
Proguard Mid Acoustc Filter = SNR 17dB
ProGuard High Acoustic Filter = SNR 24dB
Proguard Music earplugs come in clear as standard but are also available in white, black, blue, clear, orange, pink, red and yellow at no extra charge. Colour choice available when you send back your impressions.
Hearing loss is usually a gradual process due to prolonged exposure to loud sound but other symptoms happen often and people can develop Tinnitus, it starts with a ringing, whistling and buzzing in the ear a distressing condition which can lead to nights of disturbed sleep.
You should also be aware that the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 will also be extended to cover Bars, Clubs and Concert Halls from April 2008 after the Entertainment industry was granted an exception for 2 years, this will now require employers to issue their work force with hearing protection and make sure that it is being worn if the environment they are working in hits certain action levels.
